Well folks, after 119 consecutive shows, JJ has decided to leave Moonspank. Although this is obviously shocking and unfortunate, Moonspank would like to say a few words before saying goodbye.  Justin "J.J." McLaughlin first debuted with Moonspank at Molly Darcy's on August 22, 2002. He had been playing with (now defunct) Simulcast for several months but found himself without a project after they broke up in early 2003. After playing with Moonspank a hand full of times thereafter, he quickly became the official Moonspank bassist on April 11, 2003. JJ was the perfect choice for Moonspank... and Moonspank was the perfect project for JJ.  JJ provided more than just talented musicianship and a great stage presence; he provided leadership, wisdom, creativity, friendship and a voice of reason to the Moonspank project. His dedication was second to none and his attitude was inspirational.  Without a doubt, JJ will be sorely missed among his band mates and fans alike. Nevertheless, Moonspank would like to thank JJ for his invaluable contributions, and wish him the very best of luck with any and all future endeavors. Thank you for being a part of some of the greatest times of our lives JJ! We will miss you!  |
